Default Building fuel system

Hi guys Im try to put together a fuel system for my 496 bbc stroker in my 69 camaro. I have decided to go with an electric fuel pump and regulator with 1/2 inch hard line. D.S.E. stainless tank (carb version) I have purchased everything but the pump. I need recommendations on a good pump as well as input on where to mount the pump.
I see a lot of people mount the regulator on the passenger side wheel well but Im trying to keep the under hood area as clean as possible so I was wondering if it could be mounted under the car somewhere. I also read a thread here that stated that a voltage reducer should be wired into the pump. Is that for all electric fuel pumps?
Any pictures on fuel pump and regulator locations would be awesome.

Thanks
