Default wheel for street rod
Ok this is an idiotic question, but im trying to decide what wheels to put on a 35 tudor... the roof is chopped and its a "no billet deal" its low.. ifs/irs and powered by a head/cam ls1

nuw what size wheels do i put on that thing.. i want best handling AND looks im thinking some sidewall, and not to "this years fad" rod wheels have 5 spokes in my book.. but i like them somewhat closed off as well, the rear suspension is jag (inboard brakes) , so if its too open there will be a great big hole behind them...

oppinions pls

I would say maybe the Schott Velocity or Billet Specialties Vintec Dish. Or even the NewGen Thrasher for a more classic 5-spoke wheel.

Since you don't want the billet look, you can powdercoat them or get an all brushed finish.

Any of those Halibrand/salt lake/kidney bean wheels would look right at home on a street rod...

This one has the center sections painted or powder coated. I am sure Driverz could tell you for sure.

This also is the Schott Velocity.

I've got flat maroon painted steel corvette ralleys on mine and I love it. Mine is no billet too, flat black, no chrome really anywhere. Those wheels are beautiful, but there is something mean about cheap 15x10" rally repos and some wheels I talked my nieghbor out of for a total of $30.

I'm not opposed to spending money, the wheels on my 67 were over $4k, but man an ole skool hotrod that is slammed with some rattle canned steelies just gets my blood pumpin.

Anyhoo, the wheels suggested do look hot.
