Question wheel backspacing ?

i have a 71 camaro that has not been cheater tub but the fenders lips have been rolled. i have done several measurements. what i want to put under the rear is the foose nitrous 2 wheels. my measurements show that a 18x10 with a 6" backspacing will work with the mickey thompson 28x12-18 sr tires. the tread is 10.6 and the section width is 11.6 . with the 6" backspacing the tire is center in wheel well and i have about 1/2 " between the fender and the spring. all i want to know is has anyone used these combination or something close so i will know im going in the right direction. these wheels are special order only and i dont want to screw it up. any help would be thankful.

On a 2nd Gen,usually it's the rear seat belt mount on the trans hump that needs massaging.I have a 5.75" b/s on my 18x10's w/275/40 rubber and this fits both the '70Z and my '70 SS454 perfectly.

Who are you buying your wheels from?Jon @ www.driverzinc.com sells a ton of Foose wheels and is an expert on fitment, why not ask him to be sure.

The seat belt area has been masaged so there is no issue with that. If you don't mind can you tell me how much room you have between the tire and the spring. That seems to be the closest thing to the tire on the inside. With the fenders rolled I picked up about a inch on the outside but if you don't mind give me the measurement there. Figuring your tire size your tread width should be about 10" and again if you don't mind measure your tread and the width of the tread and sidewall to sidewall so I can compare. Thanks for your help it really makes me fell alot better about my measuring. Thanks for the info on the tire dealer I will check him out.
