Default Anyone have any experience with.......

Putting a 4 speed metric 200 in an older car? What did you do with the trans crossmember?

I have a 65 Skylark convertible that the customer wanted the 4 speed auto in and we got it built and is hanging on the engine now but the crossmember is no where close. I need to find one (custom or do I have to build one? Thanks for any help

Can you modify one from one of the transmission "swap kit" suppliers? Classic Chevy 5 Speed, Kiesler, TCI or?? Or one of the sub frame manufacturers like Speedtech might be able to get you one you can modify to meet your needs.
