Default Pro Touring/Occasional Race Insurance

Can someone point me to a thread that discusses insurance for cars like ours.
Especially when you sink a fairly large amount into the car which is way over the "stock" book value ?
Any help would be appreciated.

Hagerty is the best for an agreed value policy of any type of car (even while under construction) but the car can't be your daily driver and racing isn't covered.

What about non-competitive events such as open track days?

Ive heard there is a loophole in some policies that allows for "time trials" but do not know of which company offers such a thing.

Parish Heacock is the best. You can drive up to 3000 miles per year. It is complete full coverage. Racing is also fine. The car it is even covered at the track for everything "KEY OFF". In other words, it will not cover you on the track, but will cover you in the pits, staging lanes, etc once you turn the key off at the track. So even if someone backs into you in the stageing lanes (I have lived this nightmare), it would be covered.

Cost of coverage is based on stated value, for example, $1600 covers Prodigy for $200,000. My street racer is covered for $50,000 and is $460.00 a year.

Kim (a guy named Kim) is my contact there, here is his number, (800) 678-5173. you can tell him Frank Prodigy refered you (he will prbably charge you double, LOL).

HPDE and driving clinics are covered by insurance although you will probably have to fight with the insurance company. As long as the venue does not say "racing" anywhere in the waiver or flyer you are safe. No insurance co. is going to roll over and cover you but if forced into a corner they are obligated to under your contract.

Default Hey Prodigy ....

Looks like Parish Heacock is right down here in Lakeland.
Do you think that if I did a huge burnout in front of their offices I would get a better rate than if I mentioned your name ?

Plus I see that Infinity Insurance is their new carrier and I have been using Infinity for 15 years or so...hopefully that helps with driver classification.
