Good source for Stainless Brake hardline? - Lateral-g Forums

Anyone know a good source for 3/16" Stainless steel brake hardline?

Getting ready to bend up a system for a build and all of the local spots that used to carry have gone out of business or no longer carry. None of my wholesale accounts have any sources either.

They will sell it in bulk or cut it to length for you. I bought some in 1/2" years ago for a project.

I bought my tubing from McMaster Carr.

Honestly, I hadn't even thought of checking McMaster-Carr. I guess it makes sense since they have every other nut,bolt, and piece of hardware known to man.

Whatever you get, be sure that it's fully annealed .028" wall 304SS tubing so that you can flare and form it well without too many issues. If you're not set on using stainless, Brakequip offers a copper-nickel alloy tubing that is much easier to flare and form than stainless and is almost as corrosion resistant. You can polish it if you're after that look.

I just jumped on their website. Is that the "EZBend" product you were referring to?

That's the type of tubing I used...it wasn't too bad to bend, but you will need a good flaring tool...my cheapy tool from Jegs broke after two flares.

I ended up buying a Rigid and it worked perfect.
