Default 41st Annual Street Rod Nationals

I am seriously considering going to this show, but I am concerned that it might be a disappointment. It seems that there are a lot of people that are upset about the NSRA moving the cut off for their shows up to 1980. Which I can understand to an extent, but I am not looking to debate that whole situation.

How big is this show usually? Do you think it will be down drastically this year? Is anybody on here going? Those are my main questions. I want to get something autographed by Chip Foose, and this is the one show I would be able to go this year that he will be attending, but I obviously wouldn't be driving down to Kentucky just for that. If you guys don't think it will be worth going to the car show, I will just wait till next years Year One - FooseBash.

Any input would be greatly appreciated .

David

I go ever year, last year there was about 11,000 cars.

I think this year will be even bigger.

The older guys with street rods that were built in 1980 with the out dated stuff wont be back, but you will see alot of new stuff come out.

This year will be the first year for me to take a car down.

Just going for the vendors inside is worth it. I take one day and walk the insdie.

i go just about every year, good swap stuff and vendors inside dwarf columbus gg. lots of cars 10-12 thousand, but they all look alike after you look at about 100 of them. we mainly go to check out vendor and swap. maybe this year the cars will be better, now that they are allowing later model cars

Is there an awards or Pro-build area like Goodguys? If so, I might consider going next year to check that and the vendors' area out.

Thanks Kenny. I believe it, because I already do that at GG's little Columbus show. I was eyeing those mobility scooters trying to think how I could qualify for one. Maybe a bag of plaster and some cheesecloth.

MORE cars and MORE vendors than Columbus!?!?!?!?! Sounds awsome. May be time for me to step up to a 16gb memory card for my camera, my wife and I filled our 8gb last weekend!

Thanks for the info guys .

I like the new cut off date. I think there car count will top Goodguys Columbus. And alot more vendors thats for sure. I hate this vendor conflict between Goodguys and the Nsra.
