Default Dynatech headers on 69 camaro 383 stroker

Anyone use Dynatech Headers on 69 camaro with Gen 1 small block? Im running a 383 stroker and looking at 1 3/4-1 7/8 stepped headers but dont know if they fit good and clear power steering box? Or should i go with the 1 5/8-1 3/4 stepped set?

It would be tough to give good advice without knowing your cylinder head and cam combo

Im running stock 70 camaro LT1 heads 64cc with 2.02/1.60 valves and mild porting. Flat top 4 valve relief pistons. Probably 10.5-11.0 compression. My cam is a comp cams XE274H. Im also running a performer RPM air gap intake.
Thanks

They fit great in a Nova, I mean NO dings or anything special needed, they clear everything but you need plug wires with a straight boot and the braided protector sleeves to be safe on angle plug heads.

Nova should be identical to the camaro subframe.

I also know their LS1 camaro headers fit awesome too. Best bang for the buck as far as quality and price.

Let me see if I can find a pic

Since you're at about 400-425hp, definitely go with the smaller headers. You don't need the big tube headers, they'll take away too much bottom end with little to no effect up top. As for how the Dynatechs fit? I'm not sure, but I'd like to change out my Hooker Super Comps for a set. They sure look nice.

Im a Proud owner of a set of stepped 1 3/4" to 1 7/8" Dynatech Headers on a 71' Nova SBC 406ci , that being said Ive had a few different sets of quality brands names (Hooker & Dougs with 1 5/8" pri- 3" collect) on a prior 355ci SBC 425-450hp , Now running the 406 with bout 500hp the stepped header was a must ! Now the Fitment & Craftsmenship and finally not havin to make adjustments or touching of the Big three I have to go with Dynatech's hands down ! They fit like a glove with no ISSUES for me and cant say that for the others ! As for the size of the Primarys for your motor only Dyno wil tell you what your engine likes better @ cruising or high speeds ! But keep in mind If make power upgrade changes later then your Motor will thank you for the Bigger set of course !
