Default 65 Rambler sending unit

Does anybody know what the Ohm reading on a fuel gauge sending unit is? This is for a 65 Rambler Classic 770.
Mine no longer reads on the gauge and was wondering if I could use a GM or Ford unit since I am having a tough time finding a rambler one.
Thanks for any help

The GM and Ford units are have a different ohm output than amc, I can't remember what the AMC units were but Galvin's Rambler Parts has that sending unit listed on their website (Ramblerparts.com, part number 04-6481, $98.00)

Thanks,
Jon

I stumbled across a couple forums a little while back looking for some info on my rambler. Maybe one can help you out. User name "farna" on the last link seems to know a lot about the ramblers if you can't find anything on the other 2.

Good luck!
Robert
