For your car a THICK spacer. Like in the ball park of 2-3".... I have a set that fits my 2000 trans am and I need at least a 3/4" spacer to get the rim off the rear inner wheel well of my 1974 pontiac ventura and your car needs a ton fatter outer lip than that.

On my 71 EL Camino I put on C6 wheels, I used 2in adaptor in the front and 2.5 in the rear. I mocked them up on a 69 skykark as well with no problems

Be sure the spacers are hubcentric. You do not want the wheels relying on the lugs alone to support the wheel.
