Default Body filler?

When using a filler(bondo) I have read on another forum that as it starts to set up you can sand it down a little?

Ok reasons for my question is, I'm a drywall contractor by trade and we use Duro bond.(easy sand) It sets up like bondo, we can sponge it down with a wet sponge and work it with a knife to get it flat and kill any edges.

Could this be done with filler?

Thanks for any advice

no it cannot be done like that, bondo gets hard and stays that way

on the other hand, it easy to sand

depends on what you're trying to do, I use lacquer thinner to wipe down edges of skim coat or when just filling pin holes in filler, it cuts down on sanding and blocking on something that's already been blocked
