Default Repop fender for 1969 Camaro

Is it comon for repop fenders were it bolts to fire wall to be to long? I cut the piece off and am moving it forward 1/4 to 3/8 so I can use shim to align fender?

What issue's might I run into by doing this?

Thanks Kirk

No issues, this is done all the time with the repop fenders. Just make sure that is the last thing you put back on after everything is lined up, this way you shouldn't need to shim them.

Thanks for the reply Badrs69, I left enough room to put 1/16 shim, once tightened down it snugged into alinement. Im very new to all of this so, feeling proud of my self right now,LOL

I had to do this also. Had me worried for a while and even thought of selling them. Looks ok now.
