Default Measurement please??? 69 Camaro

Hey guys can someone tell what the meausrement in between the trunk hinge brackets is? From driver side over to the passenger side, when they took this thing apart they didn't brace anything And then add in aftermarket sheet metal that someone installed all wrong, that I had to cut all off and replace ! And of coarse the new sheet metal fits great Not. So before I pull the sheet metal back off I am bracing everything everywhere!

My measurement was 43 3/8" between the vertical sections of the brackets. Measured just below where the hinges enter into the bracket with the trunk attached and open. Hope I described this adequately.

Thanks! That seems about right.
