Default Video - 6 of the 8 1969 Trans Am Convertibles at MCACN 2012

The 2012 Muscle Car & Corvette Nationals (MCACN) show featured a display with 6 of the 8 original Trans Am convertibles... it was pretty amazing to see. Here's Charley with the story:

I watched this at thought to myself, 6 of 8 convertibles. I remember living in San Francisco a couple of blocks away from me lived a guy with what appeared to be a 69 Convertible Trans Am in his driveway just sitting there under a cover. I'm not sure if it was a real TA but it looked like it. He had a few other Pontiacs also. I wonder if thats the car under restoration at that show.

It was in San Francisco but it was his only one that I know of. Car was stored at the top of Telegraph Hill. I remember being told about someone seeing it in a shopping center parking lot and apparently he parked it and went to the movies.

Ok then its a different TA. The one I always drove by was on the other side of town. Next to it was a gold 70-73 Firebird. Can't remember if it had the Shaker or the Dual Snorkel hood but it was one or the other. Parked under a cover next to the TA. Maybe 2 or 3 more in the garage. Looks like I need to take a drive by there and see.

Drove by the house in San Francisco and didn't see the Trans Am there anymore. However, I was coming home the other day and saw this in one of the neighbors driveway. Not sure if its a clone or not. How many hardtops were produced?

If I had your resources I'd knock on his door to. Let me see what I can do.
