Default Transport cost

So the weather's getting warmer, days are getting longer, I'm not having any luck finding a job back home, and I want my car dammit! Anyway one know about what the typical transport cost per mile is now-a-days? I'd just go with open transport. My car's not nice enough to hide it away. Besides, if I go get it, I'll be pulling it on an open trailer too.

Thanks

I have, but I was hoping to get a general idea before going there to get a bid. I'd also need to speak with my friend who has the car and get him to do some checks before having a shipper come get the car. So it's not something that's going to be decided tomorrow basically.

0.70/ MILE SEEMS WHAT THE USHIP GUYS/ central dispatch charge. However it runs 800 (runner)-1500 (pusher) from CA to NJ which is less than 0.50/ mile.

The price are rather cheap on uship.com. I was wondering if the transporter is bonded. I have used Reliable carriers in the past, and they was bonded up to 5 million on the trailer. I never had any problems with Reliable carriers at all. The cost for open trailer is just $100 less than enclosed trailer, so I usually ship enclosed. Depends on how much you have in your car though.
