Default Set up input?

Troy is getting ready to install the brake system on my car . I was just wondering what would be the best setup for the ZR-1/Carbon ceramic. Hydro boost, vacuum, or manual. Tobin at Kore3 recommended 7/8 bore master, manual. Any other thoughts.?

Ever see a race car with power brakes??

A well done manual system is all ya need buddy... Unless you want to go whole hog and do the ABS then you'll need power.

Agreed.

I'm very happy with the performance and simplicity of my Wilwood 7/8" master (Kore3 C5 big brake kit with Hawk HP+ pads). I really like the direct feel of system and you can tailor the bite with pad compounds. It's also humorous at times to quick stab the brakes at 35 mph and chirp the fronts.........brake-checking someone nodding off in the passenger seat is first-class too.

Tobin wouldn't give you bad advice IMO.

Mario - IIRC Mark and Charlie have made comments in the past about Jackazz 'acting up' on the road course due to ZR1 brake system either without ABS or the ABS system not proplerly tuned to the car.

I'd wait to hear their comments and the fix, balancing that against your intended use. My opinion only, in your shoes if just a street car I'd go manual. Anything more needs another plan.

I sent a e-mail to Mark on this to hear what he has to say. But manual looks like the way to go..
