The American Street Car Series is thrilled to announce that registration is now open for Run to Music City II. For those who were fortunate enough to attend the first event this one looks to top even that.
We are holding the event at the historic Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway which is one of the key tracks from the early days of Nascar. We will be combining the high banked 5/8 Oval with the flat 1/4 mile oval and throwing Pit lane into the mix for a technical yet fun road course. Autocross will take place in the large back lot and we will hold a speed stop event on the front straight at various times on Saturday and Sunday.
As a special treat for those who attend the event on Saturday, we will be turning the lights on and running the road course into the evening ending the day around 10:30 PM. If you’re doing the math, Saturday will have over 13 hours of track time to get your fill so no one should leave wanting more laps.
Also for this event we have teamed up with the great folks at Jet Hot and will be holding a Get Started racing school on Friday. This school will have some technical skills training at the autocross pad and some high speed action on the road course. This will be limited to 30 cars so sign up quickly if you want to be part of this great school.
We will also have Kevin Tetz and Ryan Shand from the Powerblock show Trucks, bringing their killer Road racing Ranger project with the Cobra IRS and 4.6 supercharged Mod motor to the event to shoot the payoff episode. This will be a great time for any of you truck guys to bring yours out and we can work on getting them in front of the camera for the episode. I will be working on the Horsepower guys next to get them there as well.
We are working on the cruise details as well as the host hotel rates so that will be out soon.
