Default Track Time

I thought I would be fun to see you many guys actually have track time here and how often you go(im not counting the drag strip).
I read everyday about three link this four link that.So many numbers It seems like some guys should be accountant's (maybe they are).I would think track time would improve the average guys skill over anything.I know having good suspension is key.How much better is a good leaf setup over a three link if your just a recreational driver?

My track time is 0.
Unless you count the time when I worked security at Sears Point and drove my s10 around the track, yeah I guess not.I do have some racing backround just not this type.Have fun.........

None yet, but Hallet Motor Speedway in Tulsa is only a couple hours away from me and I will be there on open track days when the car is done. I also plan to join the local SCCA club so I can do parking lot meets held most weekends.

I've been road racing three times. My El Camino has been on the road course once. I went out four times that day and put over 110 miles on the track. The nearest track is a 140 mile drive and there are a limited number of times during the spring, summer, and fall when there are open track days. I'm shooting for three this year. There are several factors that make it very hard to attend more than a couple events a year for me. Getting time off work. The weather. Racing on a wet track has no appeal whatsoever for me. The cost. $160.00 on up just to enter plus fuel (lot's of it). But it's a blast! If I had to do it all over again, I'd choose a career in racing.

Me too, but getting there may be a bit difficult

My track-time is also 0, but I'm hoping to go at least once this year. I still need to spend a bunch of money before I'll be confident enough in the car to give it a go, but when I get it to that point, I plan to get on a track at least 2-3 times per year.

cart track AUTOCROSS: between 50 and 80 times
thunderhill on 2 wheels: 26 times
thunderhill on 4 wheels: 1 time
PIR(portland)on 4 wheels: 2 times
PIR(portland)on 2 wheels: 5 times

"times" being "events" actuall laps.... no idea

as you can see im in the process of changing over to open track on 4 wheels, as i have lost interest in doin it on 2 wheels
