Default new guy here! possible mopar owner

hey I'm Rob from Alaska. figured one more forum can't hurt. been involved with cars for years. everything from newer imports to classics but mostly imports because of the price and uniqueness, i like having something different.

past projects include
86 Ford bronco 2 on 35s, extensive suspension and body work (mostly with a hammer )
71 Datsun 510 wagon
77 Datsun 280z with a Holley 390cfm 4bbl
94 Nissan 300zx twin turbo
and recently a 01 Lexus is300

I'm very close to picking up a new car for a change of pace... 68 chrysler new yorker. four door hardtop (postless of course)

I've tried finding a vin decoder, but none of them seem to match each other so i don't quite believe them.

oh and sonar chief is my uncle! thanks for referring me here mike, Camaro looks great!

The tech archives over at Moparts is generally pretty good with factory info. There is a VIN decoder there also.

VIN decoders aren't going to tell you a whole lot other than model line, trim level, engine type and build sequence. The fender tag provides buckets more info. One of the more consistent tag decoders I've found is here: http://www.stockmopar.com/mopar-fender-tag-decoder.php

However, C body cars are not nearly as popular, so there may be a few unknown codes in the database. Additionally, your best source of parts is going to be Firm Feel, as very few other manufacturers out there concenr themselves with the large mopars.

Picked it up a few days ago! Plenty of pics. Just don't know how to put them on from my phone!

Got the engine running first day. Strong running 440. Now I need to work on the body, fix brakes, and reweld the mounts on the drivers
seat

Good luck with your project ... get what you can done while the weather is good and finish the rest in the living room .
