I'm running the Felpro black silicone metal reinforced with cast aluminum covers on my SBC w/ AFR heads.

I've had the covers on and off 10 times or so with no leaks.

The only way to go compared to cork or impregnated cork.

Same ones I used in the past. I seal them to the covers so they don't tear when removing the valve covers.

We ran the blue ones, probably just changed colors to black, on our race engines. They were Q1644's. They are pricey, but won't leak, and like Sieg said above, we'd pull our covers twice a week, with no problems. I never used any silicone on ours.
