Default stupid slave cylinder question

I have an LS3 and I bought a Keisler T56 magnum kit to go with it. The slave cylinder is green and is spring loaded to the extended position. So, my question is: does it somehow retract when filled with hydraulic fluid, or does it always ride against the fingers of the clutch?

Sorry if this is incredibly basic - all the other slave cylinders I've ever used in other applications were in the closed or compact position in the normal state.

thanks

Adam

Default

The bearing is always in contact with the clutch fingers.
