Default Dome Light

I've finally got to the point where this annoys me and I want to get it fixed. I have a 1970 Chevelle and the dome light is always on (I currently have the bulb removed). I've manually depressed both door sensors. No luck turning it off. I've also replaced the headlight switch, for other unrelated issues. It's still on. Any suggestions to troubleshoot this?

Maybe the problem is bad door pins. I would try unhooking them. The pin and the housing is 2 pieces separated by an insulater. If the insulater is bad they could stay on.

If I remember correctly, the door switches engage the ground for the light circuit. Check around the dome light itself, you may have part of it grounding out.
