Default T56 + LS9 - what clutch?

Hi all,

Does anyone here have a T-56 and LS9 engine?

What clutch kit are you using?

Dont have an LS9, but do have a 416 LS3 and going to throw boost at it later this year... I have a McLeod RXT.

Had an RST before the LS3 swap (had 350 before) and loved it.

My not the factory LS9 clutch? I believe it even comes on the crate engine. It works pretty well and is a dual disc unit.

This. The factory ls9 clutch is a great unit, and is used by many for performance builds, a couple of which are on this forum.

I've driven many McLeod twin discs (RST and RXT) and love them.

If you are going to be doing full on launches at the strip/street on slicks/sticky tires get the RXT. If you aren't the RST should be able to handle around 800hp depending upon the weight of your car. My buddy runs the RXT behind a turbo LS9 making 960rwhp+. The car is only 3000lbs with him in it.
