Default 72 chevelle - Tiburon seat install question

Hi guys, just joined this forum after much trolling (among here, and other forums!). Posted an introduction, on the introduction section.

Been researching different seat options for my '72 chevelle LS3 - T56 project, and picked myself up a set of Tiburon seats after reading a guy on here's post. Also, a guy with a '66 over at TeamChevelle used them. Anyhow....

I set them in the car, and am noticing that with the seat mocked up as far to the drivers side as it can go (up against the raised floorpan rocker sill), it still appears to be off-center of the steering wheel by a couple inches. In other words, the seat sits too far towards the middle of the car. Has any body else had a similar issue, with these or other late model bucket seat installs? I have a friend who put BMW M3 couple seats in his 69 chevelle, and he had to cut into the floor pan where it meets the rocker sill area so seat could center on the steering wheel. I'm not wanting to do that, seems pretty extreme just to use a tiburon seat! I am also wondering if having the steering wheel off center by a couple inches is as big of a deal as Im thinking, or maybe it wont be so bad?

Thanks in advance for the info
