Default Evo IX seats in a 69 Camaro?

Found a decent deal locally & I'm wondering if anyone has tried to install these seats in a 1969 Camaro?

Evo IX Recaro seats:

I know the Evo8 seats have been done. From my understanding these are pretty much the Recaro Sport so you may be able to use the Wedge brackets for them. I would call them. One thing you may want to do to is look on the Evo forums. I know some guys have removed them and replaced with something else claiming they are not really comfortable. I have no personal experience with that but thats what I found when I searched it when I was considering them.

I'll definately check out what they have to say on the Evo forums before I pull the trigger on them - Thanks for the tip.

I have those seats in my 68. I found a set on Craigslist for $760 and had no choice but to jump on them. Their Recaro Sport seats. They fit perfectly with the Wedge bracket. I can get the part number and post it once I get home.

Yeah, I would rally appreciate that. Just ran my first AutoCross with the stock seats and they definately have to go.

Member Gandalf runs those seats in his 69 and they fit just fine. Wedge brackets IIRC. They are very comfortable as well, but for higher Gs I prefer the Recaro Speed model.

I used the Wedge's for Recaro's in my 2nd gen. The holes for the Recaro's line up pretty good. Just make sure those seats aren't too narrow for you, if your of girth (over 220 imo) they will be tight. I'm 175 and my Recaros aren't tight enough, i'm looking for these.....

i just installed evo xiii seats in my 69 a few weeks back..used wedge brackets part#204/205. cost just over $200 shipped for brackets. I am 6'4" and 200lbs fit me just fine and I have head room (not much, but enough) I actually picked up a complete set including back seat and having seat bottom redone to fit tunnel.

Nice, that's what I plan on doing - Front & Rear Evo seats. You should post up a picture when your back seat is installed & thank you for the wedge bracket part #'s.
