Default 1967 Camaro console door spring ( need help )

Anybody have some shots of the console door spring installed. I'm having some problems installing mine in the new repro console. I think they didn't put the hole in for the other end of the spring or i'm totally stumped on the way this installs. The assembly manual was no help at all. Looking at the photos am I going in the right direction, sometimes its always the smallest details that create the most havoc

Thanks for any insight anyone can provide

The one end of the spring will go in the tiny little hole of the hinge, slide the more U-shaped end into the larger v shaped piece. This goes into the very bottom of the v. Just push it into the bottom and the spring will lock in.

i'll get some pictures when i get to the shop

Vince thanks so much for the reply. I never even thought about switching ends because when you look in the AIM assembly manual its looks like the hook end goes in the console arm and that's when I got stuck.
I'm going out now to give it a shot.
Thank so much

Vince,
I'm getting closer but something is missing in the equation. The bottom portion of the "V" has no place for the "U" shaped end of the spring to lock into. I think this is the problem, that the console manufacturer didn't put a slot for the "U" end of the spring. I may need that picture after all. I'm feeling pretty stupid right now In the pics have I got the orientation of the spring correct ?
Thanks
BB

So I get to the shop this morning....pulled the console out, flipped it over and pulld the spring out so I could take a picture of it. It goes flying across the shop. Gone. Can't find it for the life of me.

Here is the picture of the v

Now I understand the "V" you were describing. This console doesn't have it. Got to love it when a manufacturer doesn't finish a product. I knew something was missing, like they say a picture is worth 1000 words.

Vince thanks a lot for taking the time to help me out, I'm sure you are quite busy in the shop and I really appreciate it. Sorry about the spring hopefully it will show up once you quit looking for it

Haa now that I'm looking at your pictures yes it's missing. I assumed it was behind the spring.

No worries, I'm sure it will be the last place I look.
