Default Cutting subframe rail for SFC install

So I'm working on getting home made DSE style subframe connectors in my car. My driver's side front subframe rail is not square at the end. It's actually bent on the outside corner in order to allow the parking brake cable to follow its original route. Because of this, I'm thinking the easiest thing to do to make the frame rail square and allow me to join the connector to the subframe is to simply cut 2 inches off the end of the subframe rail. I can't see a problem with doing this since I'm putting the subframe connectors in the car. But, I wanted to check with the rest of you in case I'm missing something or in case someone else has already been there done that.

I intend to cut the passenger side rail also simply to be uniform. It's square on its end since there isn't a parking brake cable on that side.

Thanks
