Default Fuel driving impressions!!

Well today was the day . I managed to get it out and drive the car for about 20 min . I am so impressed with everything that i dont know where to start .

From the DSE steering box , to the hydratech braking unit with the 6 piston Baers at all 4 corners , down to the quadra-link , this car is an awesome car . I cannot beleive how good it drives and smooth it is .

It feels so light and almost like a GO cart . The motor on the street is amazing, it pulls like a frieght train with so much low end torque , and pulls so hard up top .

I did get to throw it in some turns and i am so impressed . This has got to be the best car i have driven so far .

Sorry if i am rambling , i just cannot beleive how the first drive went . It nice to drive it and come back only to stare at it and think , wow , and not have to fix something.

POWERTOUR HERE WE COME !!!

Look for some interior shots tonight

I would love to hear more specifics about the quadralink...I bet others would as well. I am expecting mine to show up very soon.

Also looking forward to the interior shots..

I am happy for you. How you describe it, that is how a Protouring car is! I have had the same excitement with mine, not as powerful engine as yours but the driving experience is just awesome and unbelievable.

Waiting for more pictures.

I am not sure how to describe how it is, I am so surprised at how it compares to ALL 1st gens i have drove. My blue 69 was almost the most horrible riding car i had , I had visions of it in my head as i drove out the driveway .

I put those thoughts to the side for good. I dont think i will ever own another leaf spring "slammed" car again .

Any questions just ask , I am almost lost for words on this car .

Default First...

I am a dumb ass. Posted on the interior section before I saw this thread. I was curious on how the Harrop was going to behave. I had heard, like you, that the intake really made a big cam driveable.

So I take it the street manners are something you can live with? Is the power linear or is it kind of spikey in the middle. Is the power delivery as smooth as other LS motors.

Not really asking any questions on the ride and handling as I know they are fantastic.

Very cool Jason!

Must be nice to get to enjoy the fruits of your labors some huh? When you get it together shoot me some pics and I will wave them in front of you know who and see if I can get him interested in another '69 Camaro.

Can't wait to see it in person.. how long you gonna hold onto it before you sell it? Have anyone lined up for SEMA?

Oh, what size cam you running in that car?

Steve , i am so happy that i got to drive it finally. It really is a awesome car to drive .
I am going to try to hang on to it untill i get the money i would want for it . But really i built this to replace my blue 69 . I will hang onto it for a couple years unless someone steps up .

I will get you some pics this weekend . tomorrow i should have the bumper back on and my DSE closeout panel . I had it painted gloss black and did not like it . It is now black wrinkle powdercoat

I just finished up the electric headlights and grille.
