Default New Product Release - Chassisworks’ gStreet Billet-Aluminum Spindle System

Designed as the ultimate upgrade for top tier pro-touring performance, the new gStreet spindle provides vastly improved geometry, bearings, and brakes for all Chassisworks’ bolt-on front clips.

Use of this spindle requires Chassisworks new gStreet Wide-Track control arms which provide more gradual geometry changes throughout suspension travel for more direct tire feedback and more linear response to steering and braking inputs under various dynamic conditions.

Specific geometry changes include vastly reduced scrub radius, improved camber gain, and increased caster (8.5 degrees at center of adjustment) without altering the wheelbase. The lightweight upright houses a heavy-duty, sealed unit bearing that is both larger in diameter and considerably more reliable than the commonly used Corvette components.

Completing the gStreet system is the large diameter brake package built around Wilwood Engineering’s race-bred Aero6, 6-piston, radial-mount caliper with 14” or 15” vented rotors

Very nice. This will also work with your universal weld in crossmember also correct? Same track width as your normal spindle?

That is nice! Chris Alston has always designed top notch stuff, but he may have outdone himself here.

This is no warmed over C6 spindle copy. This is a scratch built spindle with all the tricks. I got a sneak peek at the bearing design & size. They're super strong.

Very nice!

Is this a direct replacement for a C5/C6 upright?

Will the hub/bearing pack bolt into a stock C5/C6 upright?

Yes, it will also work with the crossmember systems; we make them in 15 different widths with adjusted geometry. The track width is slightly wider than what the corresponding crossmember width would normally dictate. This helps in the pursuit of greatly improved geometry and handling.

Thanks Ron! The first ones have already shipped to some very excited customers.

This version is not a Corvette replacement; this is a completely proprietary piece. It fits all our bolt-on front clips and a-arm crossmembers. We are using a larger bearing with higher load capacity that does not fit the C5/C6 upright.

We are considering a version of this upright that will fit Corvettes. No ETA is available for the Corvette version.

Pricing for individual components is up on the website HERE. It does not reflect the package pricing when purchasing the whole kit 'n' kaboodle.

Is this a sealed bearing unit? What does this upright/bearing unit weigh?

Thanks, Jay

Bangshift had some kind words to say yesterday. They included the word 'drool' so I think they really like it.

Yes, it's a sealed bearing. I don't have access to weights at the moment.

Very cool, and I think it is impressive that you can offer such quality pieces at a reasonable price, I know it is not easy....

Carl, I cannot recall will these bolt up in place of the sculpted spindle or do other components have to be changed out as well? I already have the 6P Wilwoods.
