Default Painting a power steering box

I have a DSE power steering box, I actually traded for it and it is the raw version not ceramic coated. Can this be painted with High temp paint to help protect it? if so what product would you suggest. Or should I really look to have it ceramic coated localy?
Thanks

You can paint it for sure, we painted them all the time for restos. Eastwood makes some of the best coatings for this application but I would also check on the ceramic coating as well. Might not be that much more and will hold up the chemicals better. The only issue is you have to take apart the box to have coated if I remember correctly?
