Default Lokar e-brake cable install question

The ferrule that is on the braided line.

What is supposed to hold it in the adjuster assembly, just the tension of the steel cable?

It doesn't seem that there is enough space to fold some of the braid back onto the ferrule and then slide it into the adjuster assembly.

I thought there was a spring that held the end on the assembly? I had nothing but problems with my Lokar cables, I cannot 100% confirm but they might have been knock-offs (Lokar would not help me with them). So I went to Control Cables and they made me a custom set, that look better than any factory cables.

I just finished installing my lokar cable set. The ferrell's are held by the tension of the cables inside of the adjuster. The outer braid does not fold back.
I had to adjust the length of the spring at the brake side, but it all appears to be working fine.
Take a look at my latest post's there are some pictures of the install.
