Default Brake upgrade?

I currently have c5 front brakes, and lt1 discs on the rear, is it worth it to step up to c6 Z06 brakes up front and ls1 brakes on the rear? I would like to Auto X and track it, but mostly street driven?

The C6 Z06 brakes will provide more thermal mass with the larger rotors, and more rigid calipers, however your post begs the question why you're asking. Have you pushed your C5/LS1 brakes to their limits and beyond? If not, then I would say keep pushing. If you have, then either the C6 Z51 or Z06 brakes could be a good step in the right direction, with the Z51 being the more affordable option since you could reuse your current C5 caliper bodies and D731 pads.

Thanks Tobin, I actually haven't hit the threshold of the current setup yet. The car is down for the winter and was thinking of upgrading, but I'll take your advice and push them some more.
