Default Fiberglass Armrests

Hey all, I was considering purchasing these armrests (www.gemstreetrods.com/arm_rests.htm) but wanted to see if anybody has tried these before. I spoke with the company and they sound like nice pieces. The only concern I have is that they attach directly to the door panel and not the door itself. I'm working on my 69 Camaro interior right now with TMI door panels. Although the TMI door panels have thicker Masonite as the backing I just don't know if they will hold up over time when pulling the doors closed. As some of you may or may not be aware, the stock armrests bolt right through the armrest and door panel directly into the inner skin of the door.

As I said earlier you'd be pulling on the door panel when closing the doors. Do any of you have experience with these armrests? If so, what's your take on them? Thanks in advance.
