Hello,
I have a Camaro 67, disc brakes in the front and drum breaks in the rear.
It's my sixth year with the car and its in really good condition. And every year I update something.
This year it about brakes. I have always liked wilwood brakes, but that's actually most for the looks of it. I have been absolutely shure that those brakes is going on my car. After calling some of few dealers here in Sweden that has them I was just... Confused.
So I need help!
First things first:
The car is first of all a cruiser on sunny days...and to be clear: it's Sweden! Not California. The sunny days is so rare so when it do shines people almost get stressed out

What I mean is that it's not exactly a daily driver. More cruising and meet/show.
BUT I still don't want to just put on something for the looks. When suspenison and brakes are completed I may want to put in a bigger engine. so if I'm doing this brake Upgrade, then it's gonna be good and stand up for 500hp if so.
I'm the rear I have the 8,2" 10 bolt axel, from factory, no diff. And it's here somewhere everything is getting hard.
Option 1: put in a diff and make this 10 bolt an update. (This is were I'm at now in my thoughts)
Option 2:build on something else like ford 9" etc.
As for shocks and springs I have hotckis multi leaf drop springs with red koni shocks (and a it turned out to be a completely new car... Amazing)
In the front there is Hotchkis springs. Everything else is stock.
But I also have plans here. I thought of doing the guldstrand mod but I don't know how easy it is right now. But i don't know if this would be an issue for the brake question though (I have stock spindles on).
The goal with the car: have a nice streetcar with a good feeling on the road (or track?) that also turns some heads on people once and while but also that have the details for a closer look.
So, wilwood? I like the 6 piston look in the front. Just for the looks. I'm pretty shure I would be satisfied with 4 piston when it comes to driving. But since I am a narcissist that likes attention, we need to remember the looks

I'm not necessarily updating both front and rear this year depending on what everything cost. This is gonna be expensive however I do so. Just the import charges is pretty much.
But is there any wilwood kit here that I should stay away from? There are maaaany options. One thing here that I find difficult is the change of offset?
I also emailed Tobin at kore3 since I see a lot of people mention him/them in several forums. And that is absolutely an option for me to go with there corvette brakes.
Baer is nice but out of my league I think. I'm not THAT cool
And then we have the cpp big wheel brake kit. And we'll, couldn't complain about the price. But in general you get what you pay for... With that sad I don't mean it's bad stuff. You also pay for a brand and profile, some people don't give a sh*t about that. Good for them, sounds easy living. But I'm not that person
Feel free to give me any input! I'm not an expert at all. But I don't rush into things and I'm really thankful and glad for every new stuff and experiences I can learn!
