Default 69 Camaro brake booster

Looking at my neighbors brake booster on his 69 we both did not know what that part at the 5:00 oclock position on the brake booster. Any help would be appreciated.

Residual pressure valve for the rear drums if memory serves. You'd eliminate it if you went to discs.

Well, I was wrong, it's called a metering or hold-off valve.

Good info here: http://www.camaros.org/brakevalve.shtml
