Default Lt4

Has anyone installed / run a LT4 (GM part number 19332621)?

I see them for $12K and with 650hp / 650lb-ft it seems like an interesting offer, especially with a warranty.

Something like:

Just curious how the install went and what you think of the engine verses an LS.

Looks like the complete kit with harness and accessory drive system is about $15,000 vs about $12,500 for an LSA. Keeping in mind accessory drive for the LSA is not included. It's definitely interesting for that close of a cost. I won't what else would be needed to complete the install.

Dry sump external tank, hoses, etc. + adequate fuel system + cooling = another likely $5k.

I figured the fuel system and chilling would be pretty similar. Not sure about a heat exchanger for the SC. I saw their $15000 kit for the lt4 was a wet sump. I didn't really read into it much so I might have missed something.

Keep in mind that the LT1/4 engines are direct injected, so modifying/tuning is going to be a bit of a different ballgame.

No doubt these are awesome engines, but there is going to be a learning curve coming from the LS platform.
