Default Steering Coolers?

Wonder what people generally do to mount their coolers. It's a pretty small unit (12x4) so I was thinking of mounting it to the radiator support in front of the radiator off to the driverside(directly in front of the rack) car is a 1st gen Camaro
Also just double checking, the only high pressure line I need is between the pump and the rack. The lines coming out of the rack into the cooler and back to the pump are all low pressure right?
Thanks

On what car are you talking about? You can mount them in front of the radiator ,or use a separate electric fan and cooler.I mounted mine near the lower opening of my IMSA type front spoiler.Just as long as you have a source of cooling air,

It's a first gen Camaro. Body is stock so there's not air coming in any other place than in front grill. I suppose I just like to over think things.
I can see now why the more racier 1st gens have openings in the lower valance panels.

Have you looked at pictures and or have attended Vintage Racing events .With the SCCA and or Trans Am Camaros or that era. That is where I got the ideas for my 2nd gen Camaro.

On my wife's car I made a bracket and mounted it to the vertical support for the hood latch behind the grille so it's in the air stream. It's best to mount it so the fittings are stacked vertically, run the the line from the rack to the bottom fitting and the return to the tank from the top fitting, this will force the air out of the cooler and back to the tank.

I previously mounted mine to the bottom of my VA condensor. After adding an oil cooler I moved it to stand up off the lower valence. It is out of the direct flow of air. Mine is also about 12" x 4" which is pretty good sized for power steering so the lack of airflow hasn't caused me any issues even when running 20 minute track sessions in 100*+ heat.

I plan to eventually block off the lower valence openings (68 Camaro) and when I do that I will probably move it over to be in front of the condenser again but on the passenger side of the car.

Yes you run the cooler on the return side of the power steering pump.

I ended up mounting it to the lower part of the radiator support. There's holes there stock already about 8"s apart . I ended up having to drill the back out of the outside hole since it didn't go all the way thru.
The cooler is mounted upside down. I figured it'd be better to get in the air stream then to mount it the other way but closed off. When the engine is on I can feel the fan pulling air thru.
