Reverse Lights For Truck

Hey Guys, Im looking to hook up extra reverse lights for my fullsize truck and I need some help with the wiring.Wanting to have extra lights but working with a 3 postion switch(on-off-on).
First postion will be triggered by factory reverse lights,
Sec. will be off and third will be constant on.
Ive got all the wiring and relay and switch just having trouble figuring out how to wire. I'd also like to wire in a indicator light to show when lights are on in the 2 positions. Call me an idiot but this is my first time wiring a relay.

I would assume that you would power the new lights with seperate wiring from the battery going to a relay that would complete the circuit. Have a jumper wire from the factory back up lights to your switch and from the switch to the relay. that would be the first on position. second on position would be a a trigger wire from the switch to the relay for manual operation, and the "off" would keep the aux lights from working at all. Power your sensor light off of the power going to your aux lights, so when they have power your indicator would light up. I am sure some one with much more knowledge could draw you a schematic.

It may be easier to run 2 switches. One as a master cut off and one as a manual "on" switch...or should I say easier to wrap your mind around it.

Adobe,,,, Thanks for the help.Havent had achance to work on the truck in the last couple days so fire away.
