Default Trailer space from B-Jackson to Midwest?

I bought another project. It's a 67 Ford Custom 500.
It's near Albuquerque. I'm having a hard time justifying paying more than I paid for the car to get it shipped here. I'm certainly willing to pay something.
So I was wondering if anyone had an empty spot in their trailer coming back from Barrett Jackson to anywhere near this neck of the woods?
I'm in Crystal Lake IL
50 miles north of Interstate 80 and 10 miles north of Interstate 90.
Thanks
Jeff

Jeff,

I don't know if you will be at Barrett or any of the surrounding auctions, but last year we bought a car at the Silver auction and worked a deal with a driver right there in the parking lot to ship the car back to the midwest. If you are going to go to AZ to see the auctions, or if you know someone who is, try to find a driver with a last minute empty space. Just my $.02. Also, from your post I get the idea that the truck may not run? If so, that will most likely be an issue as most transporters I've dealt with do not like to push cars around.

The car does run and drive. The brakes aren't suitable for a long trip or I'd fly in and drive it home. It's a stripper version of a Galaxie, not a truck.
I'm not going to the auctions, too busy on customer stuff with deadlines.
I've called a bunch of smaller transport outfits, no one going in to that area.
Thanks
Jeff
