Default Project skiss

I have been loking around here allot and i raly love al the cars here. And i realy want to make my Malibu to handle and look good. But the economy is my bigest problem.
Right now i am building my 350 engine in the garage and i am aiming for +300hp. Which would be quite simple and cheep to reach.
And for the handling part i am thinking of new springs and and Koni adjustible shocks, to start with.

And for the looks i want to do some thing like this. What do you say?

this is how it looks right now.

So what do you think?

I like it. First one I've seen in like 15 yrs, my sister's first husband had one back in the day. You might need to do something about the bumpers. They look way too big for the car. I wonder if the earlier 'bu's bumpers look 'smaller'? You can blame government standards for those things.

I like it too!! I think Frankenstang is right about the bumper! It sticks out too much for my taste. I've heard the your government doesn't like modified cars so it is hard to do any modifications without raising a red flag. As far as the rest of the car, you're pretty close Brother! Wheels are all you really need for the looks part of it and maybe dropping it a couple of inches but it looks real nice!

Dare to be Different!!! Cool car! You have a leg up on some of the guys with older cars in that you should be able to adapt some more modern stuff to it for a bargain like F-body stuff. Anyone know if he can score some brake or sway bar upgrades at the junkyard? Try a Hollander Exchange Guide.

I like the photochop with the shaved sail panel. It looks mean! I would suggest you switch the nose to a Laguna unit with round headlights. The rectangular ones look too disco to me.
Just my $.02

Keep us posted on what you learn and mods you make. In the meantime, chop a couple coils out of each corner to get yourself inspired!

I just noticed you're in Sweden so even more props to you! The junkyard finds might not be such a good idea in Sweden but I think Global West makes stuff for those.

i second the thought on the luguna nose. Maybe a slight tint on the windows to help blend in to the body lines. I like the wheels

Had a friend in high school that had one of these. He put a 400 warmed up with a TH400, 12 bolt, cut coils, solid polished Centerline wheels with the biggest rears he could find and a cowl induction hood. Laguna front facia and interior with console and buckets. The car was killer looking and fast for the weight and a SB motor. (Big block would have been awesome) Almost dangerous in the rain though... Great to see people building these cars with some mean in them. LSx with TT or Supercharger would be WICKED !

(and we could haul an iced down keg in the trunk - ahhh those high school daze )

Good luck !!

Default On the window

Sealing the rear opera window looks great. How about photo chop it to have maybe a quarter indention to flat at rear of opening kinda like the way Troy Trepanier did the window on the silver 67 or 68 Mustang he built? Just a thought.
