1LE Rear Control Arm Bushings - G-Body Guys Come Out

I'm boxing my stock rear control arms so I figured I might as well replace the bushings. I want to install the 1LE bushings from the third gen camaro's. The dealer didn't show them and the local parts store has them in sets of 2 for $21. Is $84 the cheapest I will find these bushings? This is for my 79 Cutlass.

I'll have to look into the jonny joints. I actually had the first post wrong I called the dealer and they told me part #10164152 are $13.05/bushing! That seems a little high. Now thats almost $112 with tax for 8 1LE bushings. I'm not sure if they're worth it now. I plan to get SC&C's 3 Link down the road. New bushings and boxing the stock arms is going to hold me over until Marcus comes out with the new rear suspension and until I get the money. Maybe I should just get 4, enough to do the lowers or should I just go for all 8? or use the jonny joints?

I've actually figured out, on MalibuRacing, that the $13 isn't bad since I get them at cost being that I work at an Auto Repair Shop. I think i'm gonna just go with 4 lowers and call it good since I will be getting the SC&C 3 Link down the road.

a set of polyurethane bushings for a g-body is 75 bucks from summit, and if you are removing the OEM arms, boxing them and installing new bushings, id stick with PU.. that way you can recover the cost if you you remove them and sell them on ebay once marcus is ready to ship... especially if you paint the arms prior to installation

Poly bushing destroy the rear suspension in an A or G body, causing major bind.

i stand corrected, i bought the currie-track arms for my bu! but i figúred that if it was a temporary but stiffer than stock solution it would be the ticket... but ill never suggest that again!
