Default sub frame connecters Help! Need Pics DSE

Couple of questions, Ive been checking out some pictures of the DSE subframe connectors and cant seem to get a good pic. Check mine out and let me know what you think. should there be a gap between the floor and the connector? should it be even with the bottom ot top of the sub frame? How close should it be to the sub frame? This is a 69 Convertible.

Here's a picture of mine. There will be a small gap.

I posted an install thread over at PT:

ok, The brackets turned out great, But I keep blowing through the floor and The welds look like crap. Miller welder DVI, 023 wire, Strargon gas, Clean metal. Settings on 30/2.

I just welded in some connectors today for a 2003 mach one. I have the same welder. I suggest using .035 wire and going with 30/3 for the settings. Then use a stitch pattern. The stitch will help with the burnthrough and the settings will still give proper penetration.

BTW, I love my DVI, its a great welder.
