Try the for sale sections on here, pro-touring.com or www.ls1tech.com

Even post a wanted ad on ls1tech and see what response you get

I found mine on eBay.

In your area there is a place called Rancho Recycling. They sell engine/trans combos for swapers.

LS1tech sucks....

I placed an ad on my local Craig's list for my motor. Got a complete 6L out of a Caddy Escalade for $1500... I've recently seen them for as cheap as $750....

Got the trans, which needs a rebuild, from the guys over at Yank. $300 shipped. For mockup, its fine.

Just wanted to add that if you are patient you can find a complete car then take what you need and part the rest out. We made money going this route.

There was a 98 z28 for $4500 and a salvage title 99 Z28 for $2700 last month.

Im in the Bay Area too so I will keep my eye out.
