Default Who's seen Batman? Here's an observation...

I haven't seen it yet, but I'm definitely going to go....

Anyways, I read where the people in the know expect it to be in the Top 5 all time highest grossing films (domestic), BUT, those people don't expect it to hit the all time high of $600 million which was set by Titanic. WTH? How did Titanic make so much money?

I don't get it, which is fortunate. Damn chick flicks.

I for one think this movie might break that record, but we'll see.

Titanic had universal apeal. Women, guys, historians, seniors, etc. and there is something fascinating about that tragedy that makes Titanic lore as interesting today as it was years ago. I've probably seen the movie 3 dozen times since it came out, I know wuss, but I like it for the semi-factual aspect and the very cool engine room and sinking scenes. Ol Kate posing for Leo was a nice bonus also

Anyway, that's my opinion.

Thumbs up

My brother and his fiance saw it last Friday @ an IMAX theatre and said it was awesome. He wants to see it again. A friend of his at work saw it Friday and went again on Sunday. I plan on seeing it myself sometime in the near future.

I can definitely appreciate that. I mean, it's not the all time highest grossing movie of all time for no reason. I've never seen the whole thing, but I've watched it sink several times (and every time I think of that scene with Jim Carrey in Bruce Almighty where he's at Niagara Falls. lol)

A friend of mine and his partner did the Batmobile tumbler.....
Bob Causey lives in alen Park Michigan and is also working on doing a better batman forever car . he owns the original costume from the movie and wants to do make a wish foundation wish grants to bring some joy to some young sick children.

Check out his site. I have been trying to talk him into going to SEMA.

I even asked him to do the Autorama and go after the Ridller award...Get it?

Titanic made so much $$ because alot of people saw it multiple times in the theater........ it had great "return customer" foot traffic.... I know alot of women saw it a dozen times in the theater...

Even with really good movies nowadays, most people see it once in the theater and then just rent/buy it on DVD......not many movies have people come see it in the theater over and over again......ALOT of people feel Dark Knight will have alot of return customers in the theater....

What irks me is that they dont rank the movies by the number of viewers, they rank it on $$....10 years ago movies didnt cost $10 to get in...... so a movie may have 1/2 as many people see it but still set record $$ stats....
