it would appear that somone welded the chambers and changed the combustion chamber shape... not a great job though

looks like a motor expired and debris beat up the heads a bit. Technically they could probably be repaired, but doubt it's worth the money to do so.

That's someone filling the area in as stated above.

As long as everything else checks out, have the voids filled by someone that knows how to weld, deck them and bolt em up.
