Default Almost over the hump..........

Hey everyone, it's been a while since I last posted an update over here. I wanted to share some news and some pics of my car. I needed to resize the pics to post over here and I've been too lazy to do it up until now. I apologize for the quality of the paint pictures. I had to use a disposable digital camara because my wife has our digicam out in Arizona. The pics came out really bad. Around the beginning of this month I purchased an LS1/4L60E from eBay. My plans are to swap out the heads, cam, intake and drop her in. I will also run a paddle shifter on this transmission as well. The engine stuff will come this winter. As some of you may know, or may not, my car has been in the paint shop since August. I have a few pictures to show the color (Machine Silver Metallic from the '06 Vette). It will get an SS stripe next week and then he's done. By this spring I hope to be around 80-85% done with a goal of making Autorama in '08. Anyway...it's not going to be any kind of super car or anything, but it should be a fun hot rod to tear up the streets with. This has been one hell of a year for this car.

Looking good Tony. You need to get it ready for Woodward, give me more reason to come next year.

That's gonna be tough, Bill. But I'll try.

A few pics of the motor and trans pullout. It's from Cleveland pick-a-part, great company. This rig came out of a '99 trans am. 55K on the motor. I already have the LS6 intake. Other mods will be LS2 timing chain, ported LS6 oil pump, headers, and hardened pushrods.

Thanks for looking.

That's nice progress on the paint, I can recall you were once worried about the shop. Looks very nice

Alright Tony! It's like having a new lease on life once the car is in paint.... Good work.
