Pissed off a guy in a Porsche this morning... - Lateral-g Forums

So I'm driving to work this morning in my M5, minding my own business and I see a GQ looking guy in a Porsche Turbo Cab behind me at the intesection..top down wind deflector up, so his hair won't get messed up. Anyway, I waited until traffic cleared and started off, he got right on my butt so I hit it and pulled about 2 cars on him up to about 80 then we had to slow for traffic and the light.. He looks over at me and starts saying something so I roll the window down and he says" the thing is pretty fast, but we need to go out in the open road to see who is really faster"..I said, "it's definatley faster than your Volkswagon convertable" and rolled my window up..man he was pissed!

I think the guy lives in my neighborhood, I'm sure I will see again and I will screw with him some more..

Tell him the M5 is in the shop, but you will run him in the Supra...and spot him 10 cars just to be nice.

I'm normally low key, but you just had to be there..I'm not trying to stereotype but, you guys have seen it, a "too kool" guy in a convertable Porsche..real arrogant. I love messin with guys like that..

Stuart, Tony, my M5 has about 900 miles on it now. I have lowered it, section 1&2 midpipes, Eisehman exhaust, RPI cold air scoops and BMC filters.Tomorrow I'm putting on the undrive pulley and belt. It's going in for the 1200 mile service on monday then I will pull the ECU and send it off to get flashed by ESS tuning. Although it's not as fast as the ZO6 or Supra, it's pretty fast for it's size and pulls strong up to 8250. I hit the speed limiter in 5th the other night and had 2 more gears to go! Part of the ECU flash is to remove the limiter. I had some 20" HRE's on it but I have some blk 21" HREs that will be here in about 10 days. Here is a picture with the 20" HREs and Hamann front splitter..
