Default Nude Shifter pics , which one ?

I have here an aussie Ls1 tremec T56 6 speed that needs a shifter. I have looked at most shifter pics (aftermarket ) but they dont look like they have the same size bottom plate which holds shifter to box. These boxes are in the GM Ls1 commodore 2002 model and have the shifter set way back behind the housing.
Can any-one recomend a shifter that will bolt on that will bring it foward as much as possible ? Its going into a Right Hand Drive 69 camaro without a console .
any help is appreciatted .
Gav

I don't know of one that moves the shifter forward like you require, but I gave you a couple of the two best contacts in Australia that may be able to help you.

The aftermarket conversions for 1st Gen Camaro appear to have created new tail housing to move shifter.

Some one in the US may have transplanted a engine & box out of a GTO who can help with more info.

Gav, looks like you have a GTO style T56. You can probably use any of the F-body shifters like Hurst, B&M or Mcleod.

I used the Red Roberts (McLeod) shifter on my GTO T56. The offset is 2" left and 2" rearward but it can go forward 2" and up to 2" either left or right from center point. I can get you a better pic if you'd like.
