What Would You Pay For This? (not a car)

These were made by a company called "In The news" www.inthenewsonline.com . They called me before I even got my copy of the magazine in the mail. The salesman told me about the product and said I could check it over and, if I didn't like it, I could send it back. The price: $412.50 including the $34.50 shipping charge.

The cellophane wraping is still on, that's why it looks bubbly. The panels are 15" x 28-30" and 3/4" thick. The wood looks like oak or some other type of good quality hardwood. They're very nicely done except for one thing. Where they put the two page photo together, it clearly does not match up correctly. I looked at the magazine and it matches almost perfectly so they trimmed quite a bit off. It's very noticeable. The face is completely smooth so you don't feel any edges. Whatever clear coating they used is supposed to prevent fading.

I called them today to tell them I didn't want to keep it and ask how to return it. The guy dropped the price to $249 total. Is that reasonable? I was thinking of countering with $200 or even less. That glaring mismatch between the two pages really bugs me.

Has anyone had something similar done and what did it cost?
