all that you need to know is what the shock length (eye to eye) at ride height, and how much compression rebound you need, generally on first gen camaros whether its stock or aftermarket chassis, a 5 inch shock works perfect.
that said a 5 inch shock can come in different installed height lengths. so if yo u set your project up at ride height and measure from center to center of the mounts this is your installed height, now you can look for shocks. this is important because you can adjust a coil over lower etc, however you loose valuable shock length when in compression, so you really want to measure at ride height, then tune 1/4 inch here or there.
